AC breaker tripping

2009 Winnebago Vectra — basement AC. Discovered there was an issue with home RV outlet. Apparently a loose blade caused a problem that the receptacle and a dog bone adapter had to be replaced.
Surge protector was connected to the MH. Camping at various campgrounds and the AC breaker would trip. The AC could not stay on without tripping breaker.
One RV technician had it for a few days and could not get it to trip.
Second RV technician said it was the surge protector. Went camping (surge protector off) AC worked fine — did trip twice but, nothing like the previous times.
Any suggestions? I hate to spend big bucks to replace a surge protector that is ok.
