If you and your wife only weigh about 120 pounds each - no problem disregard this post.
If you or your wife are in the 150 to 200 plus range, the bed platform will sag in the middle. From the hinge forward the platform is made of a perimeter of 3/4" plywood, the center of the platform is made of 3/4 by 2 (1-1/2")pine pieces with knots throughout and then covered with 1/8" cheap plywood. Solution is to replace this portion of the platform with 3/4" plywood. We have had this problem and same solution of 4 Winnebagp/Itasca coaches.
I reinforced ours with an aluminum angle piece on the bottom, just thru-bolted it in several places to give the top more rigidity and minimize sagging.

I just love the "Smart - - -" answers and if you don't use your coach I suppose you will not have the problem. I only posted the warning, because some people think their mattress is sagging and it is really the platform. I appologize for bringing up something that is not necessary and only brings out those who have nothing better to do than offer up "Smart" answers
It may depend on the layout of the bed?? ...sorry if this is a "smart---" answer, but we too have not noted any bed sagging problem in 9 yrs (6 1/2 of those full timing, and almost monthly use the rest of the time). We definitely have used ours!

The bed in my coach has a steel welded square tubing frame with plywood overlay and then the sleep number mattress. No sagging problem here.
Which models of Winnies/Itascas are you talking about. Mine's a Tour.
