Wind Noise

I have a new noise that just started on the last trip or at least I just noticed it. When going over about 50 mph I can hear a slight wind noise coming from the area of the drivers side near the front of the windshield. At first I thought it was a rattle in the dashboard till I listened carefully, I can actually hear it change pitch if a wind hits that side of the MH. It has me stumped..
Only thing that has changed is that I added some more sealant to one of the wiring harness in front of the drivers position...
I was wondering about the water drains on the outside of the window but they are all intact and never made noise before....

If no one chimes in with a cause, in order to find it, use electrical tape or good masking tape to tape over seams, joints, and things that may be causing the noise. This method is good for finding wind noises if they are caused on the outside. Apply the tape in steps then drive when the noise goes away....well cause found.
Good luck

By chance do you have the windbreak covers over the slots in the side window? Is one or more missing?

Have you changed your outside rearview mirror anytime? I had similar noise after changing angle slightly.

X2. The noise on my rig turned out to be air flow around the front engine hood. Cured it by running a 1/2" strip of polyurethane foam weatherstripping tape around the inside of the hood opening, which interferred sufficiently with the airflow, as to eliminate the noise.

My co-pilot is often mystified that amongst all the rattles, squeaks and waterleaks, I would focus upon a particular noise as being significantly annoying above and beyond all the rest of the rattles and squeaks.

You are very welcome. But, did you find the source of the noise and resolve it to your satisfaction?

Now, there is a stroke of genius! We are stuck east of Dallas for another month because of personal business. It was 17* this morning!!!

Happy trails and safe travels,

I hate to be the one to say this, but someone probably should. Rarely, a windshield will come loose from the bumps and twists of the rig over time. I've heard stories...

My thought as well. I lost one once and the wind noise was loud. Here's a link to some previous threads on this.

I don't know who makes the windows for my coach. I am missing some of the covers and would like to replace them. Mine are vented from the back and are black. I don't know if they come in left and right options. I will call LightsInn for advice. I have not done business with them but I have seen a few positive posts.

Well .....i think I solved the wind noise. I found that on the drivers side, there was a gap between a couple pieces of gasket on the side window trim. I checked the passenger side and saw that the same gap was caulked. So caulked it and no noise after over 700 miles of travel...but......now have a leak over drivers side window just behind the pillar.... rained hard the other day and night ..

If you have a picture to post that would be great, may help others with wind noise.

Some of those noises just can't be eliminated. Plastic rubbing, wood expanding and contracting all the time. Different road surfaces. Just gotta put up with some of it.
