Wally, there's a Napa store in South Amboy. They'll have it in stock in two different grades of the number FronRangeRVer gave you. I'd get the better one. (Napa's are made by WIX - good quality).

I use the NAPA filter myself. There are actually two different size filters and I would recommend the larger capacity one.
These are the filters my 8.1 use :
Oil Filter PF454 / S8873
Air Filter A1236C
Fuel Filter GF481
Trans Filter 29537268 / TF97

Wally, try the Wix 2qt. filter #51794, less than $10dollar from www.filter1.com
It works for me, on the 8.1, as I only change oil and firter in the fall.
I know Driver does not beleive in this, he thinks MO oil and MO filter is a bad thing.
But I think BIGGGER is better , if you dont beleivve me ask my ==== NO that is another
subject!!!!! TENN.

I agree with Tenn.Vol I would use at least the 1 qt filter. But, a 2 qt filter is better as long as it doesn't interfer with anything.

Wally NJ Go to the Workhorse web site enter your information as the owner, address etc. enter serial number, listed on the drivers door, they will list all information concerning chassis, engine, trans, rear end and vital information. Will be very helpfull in future and will register you as the owner for recalls which you probably are on the list for the fuel rail clip.

You can go to Advance Auto Parts (& others) and get a M1-111 Mobil 1 Oil Filter for your Workhorse. Your Vortec will say that it tastes great and it's less filling.
