Wall switches
Good morning,
Just purchased a 2001 Itasca Horizon 36ld. There are 2 switches just inside the door to the toilet room. One turns on the overhead light but I have no idea what the other one works. Didn't see anything in the books. Can anyone help me? Thanks in advance

I have the same problem in my bathroom. One switch operates the lights and the other switch operates nothing. Come to think of it, I also have a switch like that in my bedroom.

On my 2004 Winnebago Journey the second wall switch controls the Fanastic Fan vent.

Yes there is but it has its own switch on the unit. I was thinking of that. Perhaps it's there for an optional exhaust, perhaps an upgrade from mine

Sometimes the switch is used with the fan so once the fan lid is open the fan motor can be shut off, like a master power switch.
Sometimes the switch is for turning on the water pump when boondocking. Most RV's have a water pump switch within arms reach of the "head".
In the bedroom sometimes the switch is used to enable the back speakers, or a set of floor mounted mid ship courtesy night lights.
Generalizing of course - your mileage may be different.

I own a 2001 Suncrusiser 32V (3rd owner) that also has two switches in the bath room and one controls the lights and the other I don’t know what it does. I thought it might be for the fantastic fan also, but the fan I have to control at the fan its self.
Now for the bedroom switches, one is a control for lights and the other is for the bedroom TV, and the TV also has a little toggle switch on the bottom of the self for the TV also.

My bathroom has two as well. One is for the light, the other is for the water pump.

Absatively In my dynasty I have 7 small switches and I seldom hit the right one in the dark middle of the night.

Yes, Grimsey has it correct. The switch combinations are a puzzle. My wife has trouble getting them correct. If the switches on the fan are in the correct positions then the wall switch will open and close the fan and you do not have to fool with the switches on the fan except to control speed and air flow direction.

On my Journey, one of the three bedroom wall switches controls the light in the "hallway" (between the lavatory and shower). It is like a "3 way" switch but not the same. The hallway switch has to be on then the bedroom switch will turn the hallway light on and off. If the hallway switch is off neither switch will turn the hallway light on. So, sometimes you have to turn both switches to get the light on. Crazy but that is the way it is.

Ok ... Problem solved. Thanks for all the help. It's the water pump. We laughed when we checked it out, because all weekend we couldn't figure out how the water pump kept getting turned on. We blamed each other and we both swore we didn't do it! Live and learn.
