I noticed my Trik-L-Start shows no light. I thought that one of the lights was always on. Maybe I never noticed the lights off before. Do I have a problem or just don't know how the Trik-L-Start works?

The lights will only be on when it's charging.

I have one and it works as Chris states. I think the little manual also tells you this.

Thanks, you are correct. I got a reply from Joel Donaldson, LSL Products General Manager. I couldn't believe he would reply so soon and on a Sunday night. I guess I am used to seeing the light and thought maybe something was wrong.
Thanks Chris and Frank.

Hmmm. My Trik-L-Start lights are on all the time with either the charging light or the maintaining light illuminated.

Same here, green is always on unless load drops to the yellow charging light.

Best,

If you're sitting with nothing on or plugged in, the lights should be off. The only time mine are on is when the supply is above the battery float voltage, and the Trik-L-Charge/ Start (they're the same) is either charging or floating it's load.

Jeff,
I believe what you are stating is to prevent the Slave from discharging the Master. Not sure that is stated in the manual however.

It's not well explained there either. I have 2 of them, and neither have any LED's on when things are at full charge and idle. If the House batteries are on charge (solar, etc.) and the starting battery is topped off, the Float LED is on. If the start battery is low, then the Maintain LED is on. Hopefully one never sees the red LED

I have the same issue, and believe that the chassis battery can not hold a charge. You might want to check this out.
