Tire question
It's time to replace the tires on my 36' Adventurer. Currently running Michelin XRV 235/80R/22.5. Seems like a great tire. I've heard that this size is unique to Michelin?
Anyone have experience with good 225" tires that are more universal? Any other thoughts are appreciated.

We plan to replace with Toyo but I have heard Hankook and Sailun are also good. Make sure you have the correct weights for the new tires. Use this website to figure a comparable size:

Toyo and Hankook seem to be the popular choices. My Adventurer came with Michelins and seems a lot of folks are replacing with something different these days.

Take a look at FMCA's tire program if a member. The money you save is well worth joining, along with the additional benefits.

Once you make a decision run it through this calculator and see how they compare to the Michelin sizes: https://tiresize.com/comparison/

Make sure your new tires are equivalent weight carrying capacity as your old. You may need a bigger size.

Is it realy time to chanche the tires?
Is it because the treath is worn out, or yust the age.
Tires of this sise are made to last 10 years or more.
Michelin advices to let your tires be checked by a profesional, every year after 6 years, and preventively change them after 10 years.
2 years professional storing, can be sold as new.
So SOMETIMES only 12 years after DOT production date needed.
This is better for the environment.
But OK , safety first, but it can be safe and durable at same time.
Mayby you can swich to a real trucktire, instead of a RV tire, those mayby in same sise. But mind the speedcode then , RV probably N , and trucktire L . L then higher maxload given then N, in same sise and loadrange.
In Europe generally additional service descriptions on trucktires.
Cant manage on mobile to add picture, but for instance 154/ 150 K and add serv descr 152/ 150 L .
Managed afterall, see above the yellow line, and also mind tge DOT code age 10 years here, made picture last month.

Go with Toyo. Others are good but I have read, and had, great experience with Toyo M154 H rating tires. Find the specs for your Michelin than compare with the brands you may be interested in. Toyo is much more cost effective than Michelin and this company does not have a side wall crack chart . Michelin become stiff over time and side wall checking is acceptable by the manufacturer within limits.
Happy trails.
