Squeaky Bathroom Faucet

My hot water faucet in the bathroom annoyingly squeaks when you turn it on or off. I can't find a way to get the knob off to lubricate it. I've tried pulling it off but I'm afraid of breaking the plastic. Any ideas on removing the knob or lubricating it?

I had the same problem in my sticks and bricks bathroom faucet. It was just a matter of tightening the base collar just below the faucet handle. Not sure what your faucet looks like.

Usually under the plastic cap that has the HOT or COLD icon, there is a Philips head screw that holds the knob on. Under that will be the ring nut that holds the mechanism in place. You might want to have the water off when you loosen the ring nut. When you lube the 'O'ring that is the squeeker, use plumbers grease, not anything else. You can get that at Lowes or Home Depot or any good hardware store
