I have a 2009 Journey 34Y. When trying to extend the slides the red light comes on and says the parking brake is not on. Winnebago tells me the system is not seeing a ground.
Does anyone know where the levels pick up the ground for this system?
Thanks!
Bob

are u saying the slide out rooms or the levelers?? I take it u have electric levelers instead of hydraulic .. or they electric over hydraulic ,, IMO ,, i really have never have heard fot the slide rooms not going out due to the e-brake not being on ,, i may be wrong ,,(i have been many times before )

Sorry my first message was confusing. My SLIDES won't go out because the parking brake light comes on on the control to move them in and out. The system needs to see a ground from the parking brake switch but I am not sure where that is.
Thanks!

Find the parking brake light switch. If the Parking Brake is a pedal type, it will be up on the upper bracket, There may be 2 or 3 terminals on the switch and an equal number of wires.. odds are rather good one of them came off.
Mine, sometimes I have to release and re-set the brake.

It so happens that the light will also go on if the system is not seeing a ground from the slideout key lockout. The key was partially turned (I have never used it). Once I turned it off and back again all is well.
I hope this helps someone else!

Yep, it should be labeled "Slideout Lock Key is OFF" My wife keeps turning that silly think off requiring me to make an unnecessary trip to the monitor panel. I thought about turning it on and taking the key out but then I'd probably lose it and find out I needed it for some whacky reset or something!
