Slide supports

Trying to upload photo of slide assembly removed from 2004 40 Vectra. To replace the slide supports, I had to completely remove everything from the motorhome. If you aren't comfortable removing everything, I wouldn't tackle this job. I talked to HWH and Winnebago, this is what you have to do.I have better pictures, but it tells me they are to large.

Curious why you needed to do this? ...what specifically are you referring to as "slide supports"?

Slide

When my large slide with the couch and kitchen in it would go out, it would make a clunking noise, and I had to put a jack under the slide to raise it up, while my wife pushed the button to bring the slide in. I could change the triangular parts, but I could not get to the flat pieces, to change them. I have pictures, & have put some in my profile, but they don't stay there.

Billy, did you have to replace the white plastic bearing pads as HWH calls them? My 04 journey looks like they need to be replaced

Yes I replaced everything, the triangular ones and the square ones. I have pictures, just haven't figured out how to post them.

I would love to see more pictures. I don't know if that's a job I want to tackle myself.

I removed everything from one end of slide at a time, it is only 4 bolts holding it to the motor home frame. Two bolts and the end of the hydraulic cylinder are in the bay under the passenger seat. I had 2 floor jacks under the slide to support it. I will try to post more pictures.

HWH - if you get the chance go to their facility in Moscow, IA. 100 feet off of rt 80. They make the parts there and have access to replace/rebuild whatever your issue is. If nothing else give them a call.

I have found them to have great service.

HWH

I have been there, right after we bought this coach, (2004 Vectra) and I have ordered parts from them. I got the slide supports from them.
