Run propane without furnace connected?

I have pulled my sf-42 furnace from the rear of the coach and need to replace the motor to it. Can I run the propane to the stove with this disconnected or do I need to get a fitting till I get the part? I can put the furnace back in as it is but if I don;t need to, I want to keep it out.

Thanks

Unless you are trying to blow the place up I suggest the propane line to the furnace
be plugged and checked for leaks.

If the LPG hose is disconnected and you turn valve on at tank, it will leak out in a hurry. Cap it or put furnace back in.

A " cap " brass fitting , for the furnace line should be available at any RV parts place, for less than a dollar. Install and test for leaks. Then your good till the furnace is fixed.

Yeah... soon as I typed this I kinda knew the answer. Now I just need to find one... Called American RV - out of stock... called any RV parts ... closed Saturdays.

Any other good places to try?

I've got 2 in my tool box , but I'm sure you'll find one closer.

I got the fittings at a hardware store. As I recall I had to make it up from a couple of pieces because at the store where I was I couldn't find a simple male plug that fit .

I did put the furnace back in to its location and hooked up the propane. No leaks so far but I will check again.

Took the motor apart and found that one of the magnets on the sidewall had broken loose. So.... now to order a motor and pray I can put it all back together... took some pictures but ??
