Bachler, thanks for your input. Not sure why it was attacked. I knew exactly what you were saying and I hope it works for a motorhome lifetime.

I have mine in the shop and they are repairing it. They are going to raise the roof rail a little bit to give it more area to have the roof fit into. (I guess that makes sense?) Then they will reseal it all again. Then I will determine after I get it back if I want to add the eternabond or whatever it's called.

Anyway I was expecting estimates as high as $10,000 after I went through some different RV sites. My estimate is just under $1200 which includes $200 to remove duct tape and residue, (might have over done the tape, lol)

Geico has been very good so far, just have to wait and see how they are in the future with increasing rates.

Thanks for all the input and i will let you all know how it looks soon. Badbird

Roof Popping Up/What to do?

Just a final note on my roof coming loose on the driver side of my 35u Adventurer in Nevada wind storm. We live in Washington and took the motorhome to Poulsbo in Everett where they did the repair. They say they lowered the channel that the roof slides into, but I don't see that they actually did that. They resealed the roof and fixed some very minor cracks at the aft end. The final repair was $1800 that Geico covered. Looks good and I am going to use eternabond on the passenger side to make sure it doesn't come loose.
