This is probably a dUmB question !
I have a new to me 2004 Winnebago Sightseer. On the roof there is a short rubber antenna in the front and one at the rear portion of the coach. There is also a KingDome in the front as well.
I realize one antenna is for the Radio, but don't know what the second antenna is for. Thanks

My Itasca came pre-wired and "pre-antennaed" for a CB radio. Maybe that's what you have sprouting up there.

Both Antennas look exactly alike. (Short rubber)
No bedroom radio.

do you have the outside entanment center it should have an am/fm radio as part of it the second black rubber ant is for this other radio so that both the dash radio and the outside radio have there own ant and do not share one.
hope this answers your post

The second antenna is either for your exterior radio or a radio in the bedroom.

For best AM/FM reception keep these antennas as vertical as possible. AM/FM signals are vertically polorized.

CB antennas should also be kept as vertical as possible.

The CB antenna is on a spring and toward the front of the coach.
There is a set screw in the mount that you loosen to raise the antenna to a vertical position.
NOTE: Simply raising the antenna is not cause enough to start transmitting with a radio. Be sure and either check or have checked your Standing Wave Ratio. Any good CB shop can handle that for you. The antenna can be adjusted in length to accomodate a change in the ratio.

How to set SWR

I have a Sightseer 29R. As said by others the front rubber antenna is for you dash radio and the other rubber antenna is for your outside entertainment radio. I asked the dealer when I bought the rig.
