I was at the Factory this month and saw that the 2006 Vectras and Horizions come with a roll up screen for the front door, so the passenger does not have to look thru the screen while driving. I checked at the parts counter and yes you can buy them at Winnebago for $188...I found out they are made by Atwood who makes the doors and Atwood said they wanted $150 but there is an R/V repair 3-T's in Lake Havasu City that I can get it from cheaper. On the way home I went to 3-T's and purchased it for $100 plus tax. Easy to install and what a difference for the both the passenger and driver when looking thru the door window while on the road. 3-T's number is 928 453-3040 and the the screen is referred to as a Roll Up Sun Screen Kit. You install the roll up unit first then the guide rails. Be careful to align the guide rail correctly the double sided tape only gives you one chance. Enjoy

I missed something here so help this old man out - what happens to the existing screen on the screen door?

Kenbt - you are saying a "roll up" screen adn from rebelsbeach it looks like a "slide up" screen. Am I seeing this right?

Being able to not have thescreen there is a really nice thing.

Adrian, the screen travels upward in a track and "rolls up" into the collector box...
I guess technically it's a slide up as there is no tension in the roller.

Kind of like the old window shade arrangement, but the roll is enclosed in a box.

Am I to assume the existing screen is removed completely?

I believe I will be on the phone this morning when CA wakes up.

Thanks

Reckon this could be retro-fitted to my 2000 Horizon? Sure would love to have one and not have the navigator looking through the screen all the time.

Sure would be silly to leave that screen there now wouldn't it?

Rebelsbeach: From your picture I assume that is your rig and have installed one also??? Where did you find it and how much..For the other interested people who want to know if it fits. The door frame opening at the screen area for the roll up screen assembly is for a inside door width of 25 5/8 and length of 29 3/4 inches. I guess you could cut the rail lenght down if your opening is less, but the width of the screen area has to be approx 25 5/8 wide for the roll up assembly to fit.

We were without a coach for a while, since selling the Journey to my brother last year...

I could have bought the screen door, just would have to carry it around and figure out a way to install it on my Chevy Trailblazer...

Figured it was a big expense, but really needed the coach to go "with" that screen door.

I've been corresponding with Bryan Funke @ Winnebago about this and he had verified with the Atwood rep that I would be able to retrofit it to my 2005 Vectra. I just got a price from Lichtsinn the other day (about $170 plus shipping) and I was getting ready to order it. I'll definately check out 3-T's. Thanks for the info, Ken.

It looks like you leave in the door and just replace the top large screen area with the roll up job! Cooool.

Received my roll up screen kit today from 3TS rv
products in Lake Havasu. Fit like a dream on my 05 Vectra, took about 30 minutes to install.
Wow this thing is neat, my copilot loves the clear view with the screen rolled up. Price was $110.00 plus freeight. I reccommend this addition
