Thanks for your response; we decided to just replace with another microwave...it's smaller and we'll have to do some cabinetry magic, but it will be fine. I started another thread after a saw an old post that referred to our same model and the need for sheet metal around it...but not sure if that applies to a microwave only, no convection.
