The Easy Rest multi-position lounge in my 04 Vectra 40AD is looking a bit ragged and it's time to have it reupholstered.

How do you get this beast out of the coach? I'm not sure it would fit through the door.

We had a new couch put in our Tour and luckily it fit through the door but if it had not they were going to have to take out the windshield. Maybe another option is to push out the emergency escape window?

Two suggestions - call Winnebago and see if they have an idea, and/or see if Bradd & Hall in Elkhart, IN wouldn't be kind enough to help. We bought new captain's chairs from them summer of '07 and found them very easy to do business with and the installers were quite good. Don't know how many Vectra/Horizons couches they do, but you can at least ask.

Mine's been out (to recarpet). It came out in pieces. You'll need to take it apart to do the upholstery anyway. It's real easy to take apart. The armrests, bottom cushion, and back cushions all come off by undoing just a couple nuts. The ottoman is a separate piece.

I remember from the factory tour "Everything in a Winnebago can fit through the door." Hope that's still true!

Recently removed my Rest Easy. You will need to lay on you back under the thing but you will see the bolts you need to remove to take it apart. The arms, back, ottoman and seat all come off, four bolts for each section. All pieces fit easily thru the entry door.

Easy rest lounger

Has anyone replaced the Easy lounge with 2 recliners? Getting ready to buy an 05 Vectra 40AD and am concerned as to where we set our coffee cups while watching the morning news. This one does not have the pull down beverage holder. Any suggestions?

We replaced the Easy Rest with 2 recliners from Ashley Furniture last spring. A place to sit the coffee/drink cups is a problem as the 2 recliners pretty well fill the space. When we set up for more than a few days, i pull one recliner out towards the middle and turn the other to face forward in the slide for tv watching. We then put a tv tray type table between them. There is still plenty of room to walk through the coach with the one pulled out and facing forward. The 2 recliners are much lighter than the Easy Rest....

I took our Rest Easy Sofa out about a year ago. The Arms come off, the Back comes off, the foot rest comes off. I think It came apart in five pieces. When I got it outside I put it back together and donated it to charity. Put in two Lazy Boy recliners and a small table to as you say put coffee cups on and a small touch lamp. We love it.
