Refrigerator lock

Does anybody know where you can get the door lock for the Whirlpool residential refrigerator? Ours has a hole to screw it for one. Or will I have to make one.

Thanks

Last time I posted this info it was met with dead silence, no responses. No one seemed to care, but I feel your pain as ours opened up while traveling and dumped most of the contents.

Thor installs a latch as standard equipment, simple to use and very effective. It does take two screws as you take out one and the other goes in the threaded latch hole. It is an odd thread a #12 x 3/4". take your threaded rod to match up.

The latch is available through Thor distributor TOTAL VALUE RV ELKHART INDIANA 1-574-262-4460. part number tfm3293 lock refer travel, 16cf & 18cf, steel, pc black. The lock is only $7.41 with shipping total of $21.03. Worth every cent. to us. It is designed by Thor for this refer and they control shipping cost.

We also bought this latch for ours and it works fantastic. It fits the existing threaded holes. You just need to pick up one extra screw at the hardware and your good to go! The folks at Thor new what they were doing with this one.

I will look for the part number and post.

I had the original pictures removed because the site they were taken from was a private site (that I belong to) and in doing so I violated their privacy policy.

I have attached pictures that I took of my own refrigerator and Thor lock

I hope this helps.
