2004 Vectra Rear Grill Adjustment

I just purchased a 2004 Vectra 40KD model. the rear grill is very loose and I cannot figure out how to adjust it? any Ideas? That's the rear grill on the back of the coach.

Thanks

Is it possible that your grill hinges and locks are held on by an adhesive that has loosened? Winnebagos are notorious for adhesive failures on fittings.

If it's the adhesive as suggested you can re-adhere it using 3M 5200 or 3M 4000 for a quicker cure time. I ad to "reglue" mine about 6 years ago and used 5200......excellent results.

Mine fell off in October. Reattached it with a piece of 1.5" angle aluminum. Attached the grill to one side of the angle aluminum with 24 hr curing 3M 5200 adhesive/sealent and the other side inside the rear FG mold using 5200 and 2 SS machine screws through each side of the grill Used 5200 to hold the angle that was inside the rear FG mold. Rock solid now!

If it is just the grill and the door hinges are still secure do as I did and pop rivet the sucker in place. This is a common problem. When my grill fell off of this coach it him my radiator. Bent fins and no leaks.

DJ,
I answered you on this on the other section of the forums. I also included pictures of how I remedied this. It's a simple solution. Now, if yours is falling due to bad glue joints, then you'll have to remedy that with a better glue and better prep for that glue.
