Your not alone. I can't believe the number of people I have either flagged down or at least tried to that were leaving a campground with their antenna up.

Carryover from my Air Force career, we don't depart or 'land' without going through our checklist. I don't think a checklist can be too detailed and although it takes a few extra minutes, time well spent considering the 'what ifs' of forgetting to secure an item.

Mark,
This is Exactly as it appears:
Latch TV
Clear floor
Flags & Decorations
Recliner
Electric water heater
Antenna
Latch bathroom/shower doors
close closets
Secure indoor decorations
Thermostat and door illumination
Door to tv system
pick up wood levels
fuse and tow bar
lock exhaust fan
Water Connector.
That is beyond what is also on my dash console, built in by Freightliner and Winnebago. When you start the engine, it comes up in pre-check list mode. If you need to know, I can list them, or find a web link.
If you need an explanation on any of them, holler.
Everyone is different, and words may mean different things to them. It is just a reminder list of common forgets.

Hi Wayne & All:
Then antenna is on both lists, one on the backup screen, mine is last item on first page. Also on your typewritten list. those pesky antennas.
I climbed on roof tonight, all I did was break the plastic gear in the end of pole.
While I have it down, should I just but a new digital antenna wing? I think they are $49.00 in the Winnie Catalog from Harolds RV..???

Wayne,
I was just bustin' on ya a little bit. What I meant was who has a typewriter. I'm sure that since you are on your computer to be here your list wasn't really "type written".

Hi Guys:
Fixed the #$%@^&* antenna. It cost me all of $7.98 for the plastic gear. Cheap fix.... i just straightened out the Batwing.
I als ordered that digital dohickey that mounts on the batwing for digital channels.
Regards... Jim P.

The easiest and most simple solution is like was said in a earlier post. Get one of the clips that looks like a parachute pull handle, attach your keys-----all of them---to it and hang the whole gob from the antenna crank handle.
I went down the road once with the antenna up. That cured the problem. Keys come off, antenna down. Really a cheap fix!

HI Ho Jim: Sorry I didn't read thisi post sooner I would have had a really good idea. We haven't even used our TV antenna for several years now and it works just fine.
This would have been a great opportunity to get a satellite system, especially since you have upgraded TV's. Just a thought.

I like the idea of a color flag of some sore on the gear shift. I think I will put something together like that and adopt it for my use.
Thanks, Bob WB6ODR
