Power Energy Management System
The display is dark and we are plugged into 50 amp service. Everything seems to be working but I can't remember if it does go dark when at 50 amps or not.
Does anyone know if I may have a problem with the display?

It only displays amps when you're on 20 or 30 amps.

Are you saying that the entire display is dark or just the part which displays the amps you are drawing? Cliff's right about the EMS not displaying amp draw when on 50 amp.

You display should look like this when on 50 amps.

Didn't I see something about disconnecting the power cord, generator off and house battery turned off for at least 10 seconds to reset the panel? Or maybe that was favor something else?

First thing to try is to disconnect the shore power cord and then plug back in. If that doesn't work, disconnect the house batteries, then reconnect.

I'll try that tomorrow. I already disc the power. It takes a couple minutes to re-energize as I have a Surge Guard. I will keep you advised on what's happening. We are off to San Antonio in the morning from Arlington. Went to Ranger game tonight.
Thanks for the info!

Ensure that the battery disconnect is not in the off position, that the converter is working with its breaker flipped on (not tripped) and that the popup 12 volt breaker between the converter and the batteries is not tripped.

Last night when I got up I killed the power to the coach for a couple seconds and low and behold the unit rebooted and the lights came on. This was the disconnect switch on the dash. So all is fine! Still dont know what may have caused it. I'm thinking low voltage? Ive seen it down at this park as low as 108 volts with the inline plugin meter I have in the kitchen. Thanks to everyone that has responded to this thread! Nice to have folks respond to questions.
Again,
A BIG THANKS To all!
Dave

FYI, on the later version's of the EMC when on 50 amps the panel goes to sleep and dark. You have to press the select for it to lite up. Could not check at 20 amps, the coach is tripping the ground fault. Will look into the ground fault later meg'd the plug but forget the transfer switch does not come in until power is apply. Will have to check the common on the load side of the transfer switch.

FYI, our EMC also goes to sleep when connected to 30 or 20 Amps. The neutral in the microwave is ground causing the ground fault trip. Will add that to the list when in goes in next week.

load panel
I had a similar problem with my panel. The panel showed just some of the green lights for ac appliances. They all worked though. tThe wire, almost looks like an RS-11 plug that runs from the panel to a circuit board in the ac breaker box are, in my 36 ft Vectra, at the foot of the bed) -- can't remember the name of the board. There is a 3 amp fuse on the board and I think the board controls load sharing. I wiggled the plug where it came into the board and all lights and load indicators came back on.

Yes you did and that corrected the green lights to come back on. We always connect to 50 amps while at parks. Between the air conditioner, fridge, micro and the hair dryer you need it. Oh and the vacuum cleaner.....This just had to be a glitch f some sort. The power disconnect worked.
Thanks!
