Norcold 1200 evaporator fans not working.

Earlier in the spring while down in TX I had a NoCo alarm. I had a tech reset it and it has been working since.
Problem is....Now that the temps(high 80's) are up, My evaporator fans are not working. I jumpered across the fan switch and they still do not work. I do know that they were working before the NoCo.
The tech here is saying the power board needs replacing.

Does this sound right.

Not quite sure which E-Gore you are referring to. My brother was Earl Gore
Lots of E's in the family.

I think he's referring to Igor, Dr Frankenstein's assistant. Igor is pronounced e-gore. Some of us are literate, some are not so much.

The evaporator is on the inside of the refer. It's the condenser fans that aren't running.

And I guess you aren't going to tell us what the problem was?

While waiting to find out the fix, I have a question. i had a No Co last summer which I reset by off/on. Fans started running too. Is my one-time reset used up now? Will a tech need to reset it if it quits again this year? I,ve already used a total of 5 weeks so far and it cools great. Thanks for any thoughts. .....Doug

There is a thermal switch on the top of the unit that controls the fans. It is designed to come on when the air temperature around the unit reaches ~130 degrees. It shuts the fans off when the temp drops to the preset temp. It would be relatively easy to replace if that's the problem. Remove the upper vent from the RV, then look down and you should be able see the sensor in the upper right corner. If you can jumper across the 2 leads, the fans should come on. If they come on, then it sounds like the sensor might be bad.

I was told by the tech that I only had one chance to reset the NoCo with the off on. After that it has to be reset on the power board.

Apparently, The tech down in TX reversed the white/black wires going to the fan switch. On another forum I was told by a knowledgeable person that the white is on the left/black on the right. I correct his error and the fans work.

Since I am a genealogist, I was looking at it a different way. Thanks for the insight.

I'm sorry JGore, I should not have said that. Should have known it would be ill received, and thats understandable. Please forgive my lack of judgement. Sincerely, Sandy

No problem here Sandy. As you can tell by my replies, I did not understand your post.
