Need to have the Driver's side front windshield replaced.

Hello Winnebago Owners,

We need to replace our driver's side front windshield replaced and are being told that the shaded area at the top of the glass will probably not match.

Have you heard of this or had it happen to you? Is there a place that we can find a windshield that the shaded area will match our 2004 windshield.

I just think it will look funny if they are different.

There was a post here on that and he wasn't a happy camper. But to fix the issue put tint over that area on both sides. They did that to mine and looks good.

A few years back I had one of my Vectra's windshields replaced in Elkhart IN and it was a perfect match. Your info says you are in Michigan, you might give them a try if not too far for you. Home - Duncan Systems, Inc.

We had passenger side glass on a 2002 Journey replaced a few years ago and used Guardian glass who makes the glass for Winnebago. They also warned the heavily tinted area at the top was not identical to the original glass on the driver's side. It was not that visible from the outside.

Simple fix, get both sides replaced. Chances are that the other side will crack during installation so just make sure it's got a chip in it now so that it's covered under this one repair.

Contact RV Glass Solutions:
888-777-6778

Give them your OEM number on the glass and see what they say.

Our windshield has been replaced twice, and I have always received the wide tint band that Winnegabo specs.

I had 1/2 replaced on my 2002, color doesn't match. From the exterior you can't tell, only on the interior is it noticeable..

If they don't match it will give your coach character. You can tell people your wife wanted a different shade to match her purse...or shoes...or whatever.

Had my driver's side replaced last year at General RV in Wayland. The replacement is Guardian and is a perfect match to the other side.

One side will have been in the sun for 10 years, the new one will have not. That is the reason, you will not be able to get an exact match

Had ours replaced in February by RV Glass Solutions using Gaurdian Glass and a perfect match. We were in Parker, AZ and they subcontracted with Rusts Glass in Parker and they did an excellent job.

Our passenger side windshield was replaced and it is a tad shorter on the tint and that is only noticeable from inside. The glass was not the same manufacture as the other side.
