Somebody does not know the difference between his non-greaseable "idler pulley", (for the serpentine belt), and his greaseable fan bearing.

BTW, there's nothing wrong with that, I've owned my coach for 12years, (105k miles), and it seems like I learn something new every day.

Ya, that would be me . So I re-read the manual since I have not yet had time to get under the bed again, and it does say "Drive Pully", Zerk #12 on page 11 of the FL manual (I should be more careful about RTFM). The only other zerk I have had trouble with is the #7 zerk on the driver side rear axle....very little room to get on that zerk.

Thanks to Steve for posting the exhaust break lube.

Jeff

OK, finished the lube job....

Found the subject zerk. It was covered in dirt and old grease. Once cleaned off good, I was able to get regular grease fitting on the zerk - no grinding. It is a tight fit. So got that one lubed up. I will post pictures if I can figure that out.

While in the engine compartment - lubed up the exhaust break with paclube.

But big surprise. I found that the front mount on the muffler is broken - yep - the rivets pulled through the isolation fabric/rubber and then I believe that caused the exhaust flex fitting and clamp itself to tear at the connection to the exhaust valve housing. BAD. Called FL and ordered new flex section (75$) new clamp $15 and also the front muffler bracket. Will take a week. I need to be on the road in a few days so I might have to come up with an interim solution.

Also lubed the front wheel bearings....the easiest part of any FL lube job!!

Your coach must have "oil bath" front hubs?

Yes, the front bearings with 80W gear oil. It is the best job on the whole RV!

Update on the exhaust line break at the PACBREAK. It is just the clamp that split in 1/2. The flex is fine. Called FL and local dealer has one in stock. Will go pick it up today. I noticed the breakage as the flex was off center by 1" inch!

Found out exhaust clamp was slip in 1/2 due to forward muffler strap broken. Replaced the clamp with new clamp from Alliance - $12.5. Flex is fine. Used plumber strap to shore up the muffler front mount unit mount arrives from FL next week - $89 for the front mount strap (complete part).

Also, relubed the pacbrake and relocated engine wiring that was way to close to the exhaust manifold.
