Post LP Gauge not working...2016 Navion 24G

Just got a used 2016 Navion 24G w/ 4965 miles on it. Driving it home we ran out of propane due to a faulty gauge reading, both in the cab and on the tank. Any suggestions as to how to correct this situation? Warranty? Replace?

It read 1/2 full when we took ownership. After finding out the problem and filling the tank (10.2 gal), it now reads 1/4...not sure how to approach this.

Any suggestions would be appreciated...

BTW, we downsized into the Navion after owning an Adventurer 35A and living it...different but great...thanks.

Verify that the WBGO recall on the LP hoses was performed. They can leak and the material is softened by oil in the LP. Free replacement under recall. Next. Verify that the regulator is not leaking AND that it is not crapped with FOD from the degraded hoses.

If yout topped up and have lost LP....look for a leaker. Remember LP tanks are only charged to 80% capacity.

I have a 17 View and my inside gauge is not trustworthy. I look at the gauge that is on the tank. Yes, I have to get down on the ground with a flashlight to see it. The tank gauge on the tank is accurate.

True. But remember that those gauges are "float" gauges and are about as accurate as the float gauge on a Piper Cub. :-D Accurate when fuel is running out the filler port and when it is totally empty. :-D :-D

Besides...its using the vapor phase boiling off the liquid LP.

I had my faulty propane lines repaired under recall. Worked ok since. Start there IMO.
