Leveling system issues

I have problems with my leveling system. I have been searching the forums but I am having a difficult time finding my question. When I press the "compressor on" button I get a click in the rear but no compressed air. I need help troubleshooting this as soon as possible. I leave for Iraq in two days and I can't get it back in my yard. I need to fix it tomorrow.

Can I hook an air compressor to it some how?

It would help others help you if you would state what make, model RV you're talking about. There are several different brands of leveling systems out there so tell us that too.

The Jet-Ride brand doesn't ring a bell with me. I am assuming we are talking about the air suspension system????

If so maybe change the post title to something like "Jet Ride problem-need quick HELP"

that may help you find someone that is familiar with that particular system. Sorry I can't be of help.

The only Jet-air system was as an aid to the suspension on the rear of the coach. I suggest you have a helper at the controls and you monitor the rear area of the coach. If that is the case, is the compressor running? I think the click is the relay but, is the motor running? If so is there a leaking air bag? the answers will tell you the solution!

Thank you DSouth. The compressor (motor) is not running. I just get a clicking sound. I would like to air the bags in order to back it up my drive. It's too low. Unfortunately since I started this it has been raining with thunderstorms here in the Atlanta area. I talked to JetCo about it. They said to first check the inline fuse at the battery and that it may be partially burnt through not giving the system enough juice to operate the compressor. If it isn't that they suggested it may be a solenoid bad. With the pouring rains it has been hard to get out there to check it out.

I hope you get your problem fixed before deploying. I do know what it is like being a service contractor over there. My son just finished up 5 1/2 years with 5 of it in Iraq, servicing the Northern Corp through Agility. (1/2 with KBR)

I didn't get it fixed. Left it down on the road. I am back home again. Decided when I left that I would end my contract. I went to Dubai to out process and returned home. So now I am faced with the problem. I have posted more about it on here.

I just had a bright idea that you may try.
You mentioned that you hear the relay clicking but the compressor does not run. I'm sure you've checked all your connections that you can find. Hope you have also checked the grounds. Sometimes DC motors (compressors) are grounded through the mounting to the frame of the coach. You may just unbolt the compressor and clean the mounting and rebolt it. To test that idea try a jumper from the compressor body to a known good ground.

Ok back to this issue. I thought I would add air to the system so I could get under and check it out. I put an air line to the air tank and added air. I am at a lost what do I do now. Is there a valve I need to turn to allow the air to go to the bags? I have the Jetco Air Suspension system which is what I am working on. After adding air to the tank at the compressor in the back what do I do?
