LCI Levelers

Anyone have any experience, good or bad, on the new LCI power down/power up levelers? I have a new 33C on order and haven't heard anything about this leveling system.

Their not really new, have them on our '15 Suncruiser 38Q. On our second pump/motor assy, first one failed shortly after purchase. Second one working well.

So far I've only had a couple of issues. Early on I got a time out error that I believe was due to low fluid level in the tank. I have been plagued though with the jacks down light even though the jacks are actually up. I changed out a quart of fluid for Maxima fluid as LCI recommended, but still have the problem.

I get the same thing on my Forza 36G. Light comes on everytime I start the coach. The jacks are in the full up position. When I release the air brakes everything goes back to normal? This is on my punch list along with a few other simple things not working correctly. Hope they figure this out?

Talk to the dealer to see if there is a software update. With my original pump/motor assy I would also get the jacks down indication after sitting for a while so I would push the retract button and all would be well. Since the replacement I have noticed the system automatically does a retract if the jacks indicate they are down when I start the engine and clears the indication without my involvement.

If the jack down light is on when I start the engine, putting the trans in drive will automatically start the jack auto retract mode.

Sounds like a leaky valve. When the jacks are retracted, the pump pumps oil into the bottom of the jacks pushing them up. This continues until the oil pressure gets up to something like 3000psi., at this point the controller assumes all the jacks are up and shuts the system off. If the valve is leaking and the pressure decreases while the coach sets around, the controller automatically assumes the jacks are down when the coach is started and if the emergency brake is released or put in gear, the controller will start the retract procedure again until the retract pressure gets up to the shut off point, then you're good to go.
