Larger window on QD

What are you guys thinking about the 2014 Tour QD with the larger side window on the drivers side?

I'm not sure what you mean. All of the windows on the driver's side of the 2014 look to be the same size as the windows on my 2011 Tour 42QD.

I have seen 3 or 4 2014 QD's now that the window right next to the recliner on the drivers side goes all the way to the ceiling. The cabinets stop at the front side of the kitchen table and there are no more from there.
It I think also has a larger TV which now angle a little farther down the wall putting it very close to the recliners location.
I was told it was a 2014 change to allow more light in.

My wife and I agree with fla tom. It seems like it allows more light at the expense of 3 cabinets. We need all the storage space we can get. If I want more outside light I'll put the night shade or sun shade back up...

Would NOT trade my 2012 Ellipse (Tours' better lookin' sister!) for the 2014. Would hate to lose the cabinet space.

It seems to be an option. The local dealer has a 2014 QD that has the same window and cabinets as our older models. That's why I initially didn't understand the OP's question. After searching, I found one like the OP was asking about.

We recently traded our 2011 Tour 42QD, which we bought used, for a new 2014 Ellipse 42QD. Ours has the larger window aft of the fireplace/TV and although we like the larger window, the loss of cabinet storage was initially a disappointment. That said, the tv hinges open to access an inner storage area/dry bar and wall safe, and that partially made up for the loss of cabinets over the larger window. Also, having the hinge open tv allowed for a quick, easy install of our Apple Mac Mini desktop computer with HDMI video connection directly to the tv. Mounted the Mac directly to the backside of the tv mount using industrial Velcro, and the power outlet is built-in right behind the tv inside the cabinet area. Not missing the Tour so much now... In fact, time to go check out that bar again now, Whiskey glass getting low.
