Our keyless remotes stopped working. From previus posts it sounds like I need to reprogram the remotes. Does anyone know where the keyless remote module is located on an Itasca Meridian 36?

In the outside compartment underneath the driver's seat. You need to remove the screws allowing the fuse panel in that compartment to swing out of the way.

On the upper right hand side is a box about 3x4 inches with a yellow sticker on it, that you have to puncture to access the programming button. This button needs to be depressed. It is a two person job as you have to turn on the ignition key and push that button to reset the code to the default setting. Once set to default setting, you can assign your own code again.

Sometimes I find that if I just remove the battery from the remote, then put it back in the remote starts working again. Not sure why as you would think by removing the battery you should have to then reprogram it, but this has worked at least three times for me.

Some times I think by carrying the keys and remote in my pocket, a combination of some number of presses against the control buttons occurs and some how upsets the "brain", and removing the battery resets its.

are you sure it's not the contacts on the door jam? they are the 2 little brass balls on the jam. some times you just have to clean them off and the remote works again.

Called Jay at Winnebago. He told me that the module is under the dash pod behind the speedometer. I'll check it out and let everyone know if it worked.

By the way, our reomtes stopped working after the RV batteries ran down. Manual explains how to reset it but doesn't say where it is.

On my 2004 Meridian it's located left of center under the dash cover. My module has been replaced twice, both times after trying to use it when my battery voltage was low. I was told that these modules are extremely sensitive to low voltage, so don't be surprised if reprograming doesn't work.

Well, the module is right where it should be, under the dask cover. However, the re-program did not work. SCSFrigette tech says I need a new module.

Be sure and follow the advice in the earlier post about cleaning the contacts on the door jamb. They are two little brass ball contacts and they oxidize from time to time. Take some steel wool and give them a good shining up. When mine starts acting up, that is what fixes it.
