Keyless Entry Upgrade

Is there a Keyless Entry system that is just a bolt-on for a '03 Winnebago Adventurer? And, are they dependable?

Thanks, George

You may want to check these out. I don't know if you would call them "bolt on" or not.

aauummm... bad link.

George, you might want to check out this pinned thread... about 6 pages of upgrading older keyless systems and some info on new ones.

Keyless entry - replacement of old system or retrofitting to one without

If you are installing from scratch, you will have to install the keypad, receiver, lock actuator(s), and all the associated wiring. Might be a project.

Keyless entry

The old original system on my 05 Itasca Horizon quit working - I installed the triMark system with the key fob, not the digital pad. You have to purchase the wiring harness adapter from Winnebago. Was easy to install and works great

Their website was down for changes. This should work:

Radio Frequency (RF) | TriMark Corporation

While there are some bolt-in / retrofit keyless entry systems on the market, I don't know of any for our Trimark handle/latch that Winnebago uses (Trimark 30-900).

You'll find some of my comments in the link above. I added a system to my motorhome. it was quite a bit of work. I posted more pictures here.

I thank you all for your responses. It appears that there is no easy way to do this conversion. Surprising in this modern era. Oh well, I guess I'll be dealing with the existing lock set
