Jacks Antenna

I was washing the coach today and noticed that the antenna head on my Jacks antenna has come off of the mounting base. Not sure if there is a way to reattach. It looks like it just slides on to the base, but why did it come off. I didn't hit any low hanging limbs.

Believe the reference is to the Jack Digital Antenna, manufactured by King Controls.

Do you just the head that attached to your existing crank up or do you have the unit that is mounted to the roof?

if it is not mounted on the mast, look inside, the knob that you turn with may be loose. something may have come loose that you need to fix from inside. I can not remember exactly how it went together, but it sounds like something came loose that has to be fixed from the inside.

Give tech support a call (952-922-6889) looks like the top part is sealed at the factory.

Jack Antenna

While returning home, 1 block away, tree limb took off Jack mounted on roof. Needed to replace base and one or two small pieces. Trying to come up with a deflector for limbs. The jack sits there looking to capture a limb. All else on the roof is slanted back so that any small limb will slide over.

I hope I understand what you are saying. Look at Fig 2 on the installation instructions and you will see the head is attached with 4 screws.

Thanks to all who have replied. I had the unit apart and it looks like the extension shaft broke, still not sure how it happened. I have been trying to call tech. support but have a 2 hr. call back window.
