I was getting her ready for a trip next week and when I tried to put out the slide all I get is a red warning light telling me to set the parking brake. Problem is that the brake is set! I released and reset, but no dice. Any suggestions would be appreciated. It's a 2003 Itasca Sunova 27C.
Thanks.

I believe there is a contact type switch under the dash on your parking brake lever that tells your slide out controls if the brake is set or not set. That switch is probably sticking so when you set the brakes the slide out control doesn't know it's set. Find that switch and check it out to see if it sticks.

Check your dash parking brake light to see if it is on. If not on slides/jacks will not work.
Check the ground also.

BobW;

On my Chieftain I have to have it in park as well as the emergency brake set. Try that and let us know what happens.

Check a VERY RECENT post in this forum. It deals specifically with this problem.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll check them all out and let you know if anything works. I did have the rv in park and have driven it around the block and started from scratch just to see if a little shaking of the vehicle might help. Nothing yet.

I wanted to thank the forum for their assistance. I found a disconneted wire under the dash that attached to the emergency brake. I reconnected and everything works great. Sorry about the delayed response. I just forgot to type a followup post. Thanks again.
