Is This Part of the Slide Apparatus?

I'm pretty inept when it comes to my coach as this is my first RV and I'm still learning things.

I notice that there's a slight leak coming from this "cylinder-looking" thing that is mounted horizontally on the frame right behind the front slide.

You can see in the following photos that the area is "wet" but not a lot if fluid is leaking but I suppose enough to where I'm going to have to have it checked out.

The slide is out as I'm shooting the pics. Once the slide is in, this area will be directly behind the slide.

First, what is it?

I believe that your problem is with a leaking sycronizing cylinder. I had a similiar problem that required the cylinder to be replaced. It was leaking around the area where the rod moves in and out on the end of the cylinder. O-ring problem??

The other possibility is a leak at a fitting/hose joint. I also had a couple of those on other cylinders that I managed to stop by tightening. I would contact Winnebago and/or HWH for advice.

So it's called a "syncronizing cylinder?"

And it has to do with the slide, correct?

I got under there and it appears that all the two connections are tight.

The label on the cylinder reads:

HWH
Spacemaker

Model AP 13607

...and what appears to be a serial number.

No more than that is leaking (weeping) I would
not give it a secoond though.
The rear slide on my Adventure leaked about
a half qt. a yr. sort of like marked its spot.
I finally took it in and HWH replaced the Hyd.
lines. I always live with it as long as I can
as I dont trust my local Winnie dealer, to add
air to the tires. But so far everything seams
to be OK. I will give them a atta-boy...Tenn.

I had the same leak and HWH replaced the synch cylinder

I'm surprised the dealer didn't catch that when I told them "something is leaking under there. "They said they couldn't find anything ...they were specifically looking at the "slide rams" as they called it.

Perhaps my dealer isn't as good as I first thought
