Inverter and Residential Refrigerator

Our inverter is not charging our batteries and unfortunately the residential refrigerator runs off the inverter. Does anyone know if I can access the plug to the refrigerator easily so I can plug it into an extension cord while trouble shooting inverter? I've bee Googled out trying to find this info.

Thanks

I'm looking at your manual to try and help out some......

Are you positive that you have the 2000w Magnum Inverter/charger?

Do your batteries charge correctly when driving?

I know you have a residential refer but is the access panel outside still on your MH? If so, maybe you can get to the plug from there?

It looks like it's at the bottom of the post. For the poster, I'm a new owner also with the residential fridge and inverter. You should have power to the fridge even with the inverter off. Seems like it's got to be a circuit breaker or GFI somewhere that's tripped. If the breaker is not in the primary 110 volt breaker panel maybe there is second small panel for items that run off the inverter. A call to Winny should help you fix this problem. Or they'll tell you to go to a dealer. Just being a wise guy, hopefully they'll help you trouble shoot this.

FWIW - Off hand the cord is probably less than 6 ft long. Can you get to the back of the unit from the outside? if so, follow the cord. If you can find the circuit feeding the refrigerator at the inverter end you can put a temporary plug on the Romex or whatever the wire is to the refrigerator.

OK, thanks everyone This is no longer an issue we found the inverter problem. Where Winnie wired in the inverter there was a fried wire. Winnie only uses wire nuts. We cleaned up the wire, put a wire nut on temporarily and will solder all the wires when in winter residence.

Our refrig runs off inverter when plugged or unplugged. The inverter should pass through the 120v when plugged in but it was not getting anything due to the fried wire. When boondocking, refrig runs off the batteries.

Sue46, for future reference looks like there is a access panel on the outside behind the refrig. Maybe able to reach the plug that way.
