Hydraulic Jacks

I have a 2000 adventurer 33 foot MH and my front right jack keeps retracting during the night.
any ideas why?

Check the valves on top of the Hydraulic tank and pump. Should be 4 or 5. If they are HWH, contact them. they are great.

Agree. HWH is great. I lost my wiring harnesses during a front blowout a few weeks ago and they took a lot of time with me to explain how to fix it. Kudos to their techs. There site has complete courses on their equipment and how jacks operate.

Just a couple of thing to look for. A leaking cylinder seal or a fluid leak at a hose fitting. That would be the first things to check in my opinion.

What is the best way to see if a cylinder seal is leaking?

If there is a puddle of oil on the jack pad.

Most likely, it is leaking back through the solenoid into the reservior. These are one way systems, the pump pumps fluid out to raise the jack, the solenoid valve allows the fluid to come back, and there is a spring to actually raise the jack.

If the cylinder is leaking at the seal you will have hydraulic fluid running down the shaft and maybe accumulating at the pad foot of the jack.

MY experiance with HWH has been the best. I would suggest take a piece ip paper and write down what you see happening... Call HWH and talk to a tech; I'm sure they will serve you to your satisfaction.. I Have allways had my problems solved. I'm just a customer just like you;;;
