Hyd Oil capacity for 2008 Adventure 38J

I cannot find the capacity of the hydraulic reservoir for the HWH leveling system. I blew a line and completely emptied the reservoir. Now I would like to refill it, but I don't know how much to put in.. It is a real bear getting to the breather cap and putting back in and screwing it it and out after 6 quarts is getting to be a pain.
So if anyone knows please let me know and thanks
Dean

Capacity depends on the length of your lines

But, why screw the cap back on until completely full? This is a non-pressurized reservoir.

Tom N, good point, just pour the fluid in until it is 1 inch from the top.

Thanks for the info. You had much more luck than I did. I even went to HWH and boy was that a waste of time.

Well my stick is not the sharpest these days. For that matter I have to question as to whether it was ever sharp. But then I forgot or misplaced who I was going to question.
Thanks
Dean

grant has it right. the fluid level is done according to the pump and tank assembly. its designed to have a larger capacity than needed. that said, the the fluid level is not that critical. one inch from the top is fine. even that measurement doesnt have to be too accurate. and if you dont have any further leaks, only check it once a year. if you have questions, please feel free to call me at 602-549-3638. i work for hwh and live in arizona. we are on pacific time.
