Hi all-just spent the day cleaning our new (to us) Winnie

Picked up our first Motorhome yesterday and getting her ready for a great summer. It's a 2000 Adventurer 32V on a Workhorse Chassis with 62000 mi. Up in Mass so we haven't de-winterized her yet, but hopefully in a week or so we can make our first weekend trip. Planning on taking it down to Flagg RV for an Inspection and see what we need to put into her for our first long trip in June to Nashville for the CMA Fest. Interior looks very well cared for and the expected decal cracking and exterior paint fade outside. All awnings and the slide topper are in good shape. Tires were put on in 2009 and have good tread depth so should be good for 2 years before we swap them out. Brakes are pretty squishy, so will have to check the levels or just let the Tech service them with anything else they find. Was glad to find this forum and picked up some great tips during the last month or so while we searched for the right Class A to buy. Now just need the weather to warm up so we can get out there!

Congrats on your new toy. Always fun and exciting playing around with it and going through everything. Feels brand new even though it is used.Makes sense?

If the brakes are acting funny check to see if it was in the brake recall and if it was, was the recall work done. Curious as to why you have the awning in the mode you have it rather than the rafters attached to the side of the motor home. Did you have them pinned down with spikes?

Congratulations on your new to you motorhome. We like you, just bought a new to us 1999 Winnebago Adventurer 35C. Loving it to pieces. The only problem we have had so far it the Air Horns did not work, found the air leak and fixed it, now it is wired for sound. The DW is having a ball with her decorating and I must say, it looks nice to me. Doing it in a Cowboy/Native American style. I hope that you have fun and enjoy your rig as much as we plan to with ours.

Thanks all for the good wishes. Had the awning all out like that while showing it off. Going to get my inspection sticker this afternoon and see if they can take a look at the brake linings. Previous owner say's he was told they had over half life left on them but will make my own determination there. I seem to remember coming across a website that you could unit a VIN to see if recall work was completed on a chassis but can't locate it again. Could be mistaken. Would Workhorse have that info on file? Winnebago? Will call them later today. Have a safe & fun season all - Joe

Joe-rig looks beautiful, just like mine. Funny thing - I also drive an '01 Itasca. Needed some work after purchase, but now it's fine. Most important thing I'd say is to find a competent, honest mechanic. You can use mine, but he's 2500 miles away from New England - but! If you decide to buzz out to AZ, PM me.

joemcgin, good on ya, bud. We had an 01 Adventurer 35U, basically the same as yours, from the front to the kitchen; bed and bath configured differently. We drove it from 12K mi to 82K mi. and never had a chassis problem one. Ours was the Ford Chassis. We hope you enjoy it as much as we did ours. The DW was belly-achin the entire way from here to Phoenix to buy our current one, but she eventually acquiesced and now I can't get her out of this one if I had to. She is from MN where "change" is not the normal way of life.

Seems like you have not already registered at Workhorse.com, once you have registered go to My Motorhome and pop in the VIN
