Thumbs up Here's the BEST place to get good wipers at a good price!

Here's the magic link y'all have been craving:

.: TAC :. Transportation Accessories Company

There main website is .: TAC :. Transportation Accessories Company - Specialists in School Bus Parts

These folks probably have the wipers for your coach. I was looking for replacements for our 2001 Winne Adventurer and IF I could find them they were $25-30 a pop. These folks (who make parts for buses mostly) have the exact fit blade by Dyna for $14 each - and that's the whole blade, not just the rubber insert. Part # BD52147. IMHO the blade itself - not just the rubber insert - can cause poor performance as the blades natural tension and thus it's ability to fit the glass exactly - goes away in time. I also keep the blades off the windshield when the coach is stored - if it gets really hot they can stick.

Maybe I'm missing something here, but the wiper blades shown don't look any different from those I bought at a Pilot truck stop a few months ago. The price was about the same.

Many wipers that 'look' the same don't either fit the arms or 'wrap' the (curved) windshield properly. I just replaced my windshield so don't want to mess it up with crappy wipers. There have been many other blogs about folks struggling to find exact replacements for older Winne coaches. Most auto parts places don't carry them any more and you can't even order them from the factory - and CW wants to rip us off at ~$30 a piece for them.

These guys I referenced in my post, have them, they are good quality, cheap and they offer free shipping and no sales tax which was a no brainer to me and (I thought) worth sharing with the community.

As I live in a metro area, I don't have Pilot truck stops so that's not an option for me. I am glad you were able to get yours so easily.

My wiper blades take 24" inserts. I went to an auto parts store and purchased some Rainex 24" blades ($7.95 Ea) and removed the inserts and slid them into the arms on the coach. The key thing for me was to get the inserts that have a notch on the steel supports. The non notched ones are made to fit in wiper arms that have end caps to keep the inserts in place. So far the wiper blades are working just fine.

Thanks for this site. I have been unable to locate my 28" wipers at any of the truck stops!

You can buy a 6 foot section of 1/2" foam pipe wrap and cut it to fit over the wiper blades for coach storage. This keeps the sun and tension off of the rubber and extends their life. Only 99 cents at Home Depot.

FYI, I have an 2009 Journey. Here's what I have learned.

The wipers were installed by Winnebago and are not available through Freightliner. They are just a little wider than the ones that you find at truck stops and at TAC (I know because I purchased them at both places!). They are made by Dyna.

You can get them through a Winnebago dealer (I got them from Lichtsinn). The part number is 157532-01-000. They have a hook fastener.

I hope this helps some

Thanks Alan, I went to the website and ordered two new washer heads. Received them in two days. Great site.
