Hello, and power window question '89 Itasca Sunflyer

Hi everyone, I have a 1989 Itasca Sunflyer 32'. The previous owner removed the power window motor and regulator, making it difficult for me to know what part I need to order. Winnebago says the original manufacturer is no longer in business, and couldn't provide me with much to go on. I'm going to try to attach a photo here, and I'm hoping it's a standard General Motors part. Can anybody help?

Thanks, Jeremy

OUCH! Not much help as I'm thinking that is going to be a tough one to find if Winn can't help. Perhaps looking for a salvage RV to get the whole door or unit out of one that matches? Long, long odds, there.

Thanks, I actually checked that website and may just order two or three regulators which seem most likely to fit. It looks like there's possibly a triangular mounting pattern, with a hole in the center which matches some of the regulators I've looked at online.

I was sort of hoping that one of you Winnebago or a Itasca owners would have had this problem by now, and I'll post back up when/if I get it figured out.

Thanks for the info. The window regulator from that thread about the 1997 American Dream model looks very close to what I'm missing.

It's interesting that it's also quite different than the two main automotive style window regulators that are so widely available. Maybe it's more of a commercial or heavy-duty application?

I'm definitely getting closer. And it looks like they use these window regulators for decades, so it's probably just a matter of finding something close, and adapting it, if not the exact one.

Thanks again and please keep the help coming! There have to be many other people with these window issues!

My brother's 1999 Itasca suncruiser has the same regulator, only with a hand-crank. I'm including a picture here, from the 1999 model. I found a much later door, maybe mid 2000's used a similar regulator, only spent upside down from mine, but the same cable/screw style design. I'll attach picture of it as well.

It just makes me believe these parts have to still be around, somewhere.

Here is what Winnebago shows for the 1989 model I own. It's blurry, but you can just make out part number 6, which is the same style of regulator as the others.

The part number is 092996-01-000. Winnebago says it's no longer in production, so I may have to find the next best thing.

Window regulator motor

Try an RV salvage site. Google RV or motor home salvage.

I'll try that, thanks.

I think I'm getting closer to finding a power window regulator that I might be able to adapt. Ive learned the original was much closer to one that might have been found in a commercial truck, such as a Kenworth or International. They're still being produced different shapes and sizes, and hopefully I can find something close that can be adapted.
