It's unfortunate, but sometimes dealers perform "repairs" that they get paid for rather than "adjustments" they don't get paid for. When we bought our first motorhome the dealer gave us a paper to sign that stated they would only perform "adjustments" free for the first 90 days. The paper stated that even though all systems were warrantied for year any "adjustments" that didn't require replacements parts would only be free for 90 days. Any adjustments beyond the 90 day period would be billed at the regular labor rate. Needless to say we didn't sign the paper, but the deal went through anyway.
Sometimes it takes as long to disassemble a system and make adjustments as it does to replace the same parts. I would bet that in many cases the dealers just replace the parts, more to cover themselves down the road. If an adjustment fails they get to do it over a second time for free. If they replace the parts at least the factory pays for it once.
We did have the full wall slide on our 2013 Adventurer "adjusted" at the factory when it was under warranty. The difference was that the factory would have been out the cost of parts as well as the cost of labor had they gone the replacement route. The dealers on the other hand get paid for both if they replace the parts, and nothing when they do an adjustment.
