Fresh Water Tank flush

I'm going to be flushing out the fresh water holding tank, Just to do so, Not really any problems with it. No odors or leaks.
Any thing to look for besides sediment or debris?
TIA..

You've pretty much got it - good idea to get a bit of Chlorox agitated in there and flushed through the lines - then a good fresh water flush (a little white vinegar can help clear chlorine). If you've never seen the overflow working fill the tank all the way to ensure its open and gets flushed ...

You are on the right track. Keeping your fresh water tank sanitized is a no brainer. Whole chapters can be written about this matter, but I believe in sanitizing before every trip. In our case, we take three long trips ( 2 -3 months) and several 1 - 2 week trips each year. We have right at a 100 gal tank. To sanitize, we remove the filter media from our filters and pour about 3 cups of household bleach into the whole house filter housing. Attach a your city water hose, turn the valve to fill and the bleach will be drawn into the tank as it fills. We like to fill the tank until it over flows - ensures the tank is topped off and ensures that the overflow is clear and works. Three cups of bleach brings our tank up to about 150 ppm. (note to self: do not use scented bleach) We then use the coach water pump to pressurized the system, open all sink and shower valves until we smell bleach, shut the valves, stop the pump and let the bleach do its work on the tank and lines for several hours or overnite. Then we drain the tank and lines and refill with fresh water, this time super-chlorinating the tank with about 1/2 to 1 cup of bleach. While you are traveling, the whole house filter with remove the excess chlorine but the tank will stay sanitary.
