Freightliner Engine Monitor

In my last post, I asked for the Intellitec service password. I meant to ask for the four digit password for the service screen on the Freightliner Monitor.

Appreciate any help.

Thanks - I'll give it a try next week. The coach is in storage right now.

I must admit my lack of knowledge on the need for the password. What does it allow one to do? I do like the basic information shown, but like others, would like to be able to reset the average mpg reading. (Mine is at 9.3 "since born")

Shuffster,

I only used the service section once when a mechanic gave me the password. At the time, I was having some fuel problems (cold winter and too dumb to add additives to the tank). As I remember, it gave me some error codes and told me what the problems were. That was seven months ago, and I don't remember all of the details.

I don't know if it will allow you to reset the Avg. MPG. I would like to do that as well. Mine is stuck on 7.3 mpg. Wish it was stuck on 9.3 mpg!!!!!!

Once I get to the coach and try the code, I'll reply to you with anything that I learn.

It's in your chassis maker's book, Freightliner anyway. Mine read 9.3 for about 12K miles, even though the actual diesel fillups didn't square with it.
I read the book, now, regretfully it is down to 8.4. That number (8.4) squares with actual gallon pumped in.

Chuck,

If you have the Power Monitor panel that shows you how much current that you're drawing and which - if any - systems are running, this is the Power Monitor that is built by a company called Intellitec.
Hope this helps.

Thanks Bob, I thought I knew everything about my MH. I will check out the monitor and see what it does.
