"Finally got our throne lowered"

We recently bought our 04 Journey and it was absolutely perfect in every way! or so we thought...Never occurred to us to actually try the toilet!! It's a porcelain unit and was mounted on a 2.5 inch tall plastic donut base filled with Styrofoam which was a tad bit smaller than the base of the actual toilet. It actually rocked back and forth like a ride!! Not Good.

So I got a 1.0 thick piece of white Delrin and machined a 4.875-dia hole through the middle and beveled the outside edges for the new improved lower toilet base. Nice stable seating and our feet can touch the floor...

Happy Campers now...

It can just be something as simple as lowering the throne to make some people happy.

She's almost flush to the floor, no wasted space so you have discharged your chores and eliminated any further problems and all without a lot of paper work.

It's fine tuning the little things that I get the most enjoyment out of with this older coach.
Even now attending the local RV shows, it's fun to see all the new gizmos and floor plans but we're still are hard pressed to find anything that fits us better...

Happy camping!

And in a lot of cases, it's only lowering PART of the throne.....like the seat, for example

Ron, I agree. It's all the little things you can do to your coach to really make it just the way you like it.
