eternabond tape

Has anyone had success gluing a superflex roof over existing eternabond tape? Several coatings I've used peel off the tape fairly easily. My roof blew off in the Texas panhandle last year and I replaced it with 1/8 plywood, seams and sides with eternabond and coated with elastomeric roof coating due to cost and time/distance constraints. Working ok so far but I would like to install the superflex roof. Any suggestions?

Just a thought.

Why don’t you post a link to the info you found? Maybe it will save the next person having to do your surch over again.

Thanks

Basically I was told not to do it as it would reduce the integrity of the tape over time.

I guess that means

You have a big clean up job to take your “fix” off so you can install the new roof? Don’t you just love raving?

It’s one industry I’ve found that doesn’t really try too hard to make things easy. Like the wait time to get parts in. Weeks compared to overnight.

Sorry. Starting to rant. Thanks for the info.

Seems like NOTHING will stick to the top of eternabond tape. Even floor wax beads up and falls off...

Maybe try a test patch?
