eternabond pictures 2" roll no cutting

I just finished putting eternabond on my coach. With the helpful information from folks on this forum the job came out real good. After inspecting the seams by pushing on the fiberglass just above the gutter I couldn't believe the gap as the fiberglass pulled away from the gutter and the calking. The tape sure seems like a better way to keep out water to me. I have pictures to share if you are thinking of doing this too. Thanks to all those who gave me advise on this fourm. Jim Bob

Jim Bob, good to hear your Eternabond application went well. That will be a twice a year worry off your mind. As you said learning how to check the seam by pressing on the roof edge is the only way to know if the seam is tight. Those that do a visual check many times miss knowing the seam is open and find it out after water related problems show up at a later date.

Jim...great pictures.
A question I have is how did you work around the awning. Was your seam above where the awning is attached to the sidewall? Looking at my '96 Adventurer, from the ground, it looks like the seam is under the split tube that the awning material is slid into.
The sun is supposed to come out this Saturday so I will get up on the ladder and exam it much closer. I believe my rig is a perfect candidate for this kind of seal, the eternabond.

Jim Bob, I went to the photo gallery and saw your pics. Very good and if I may say, nice job on the Eternabond application! Especially liked the pic showing your hand pushing on the roof revealing the gap in the Winnie sealant.
One question: where did you get your rain gutter spouts and how do like 'em?

Jim Bob, I've been looking a long time for gutter spouts for my Winnie, but everything I've seen wouldn't fit the Winnie gutter design. Yours look pretty good. Did you remove a screw and slip it in behind the gutter rail, then finish with an overlap of the 2" Eternabond?
Any experience with them yet? Are they pretty secure?

Hi Troth,
The gutter spout I used has a inch long shaft that slides into the gutter. Looking at the gutter from the end it has a round hole, holding the spout flush against the coach the 1 inch shaft slides into that hole and it butts up to the gutter. I put a dab of calking on the back of the spout to hold it but the eternabond doesn't hold it. On page 1 of this post Rebelsbeach posted a link to rain spouts, look at your gutter and then that kink and you may find one that works. Good luck!

Well, that explains it. I bought gutter extensions from CW and for the life of me I couldn't figure out how to make them fit. I thought it was just me. I tried ever which way and I couldn't figure out how to attach them to my Winnebago gutters.

Again, nice job. Did you recaulk the seam prior to putting on the Eternabond? It's so clean up there, I can't tell.
