Engine won’t get up to temp.

Hi!
So I bought this 96 Vectra Grand Tour. It is in beautiful condition with les than 100k on it (Diesel Pusher) I am having a problem getting the engine up to temperature. I live in Alaska and like the front heater to work while driving. I am hoping someone has had this issue as well and has fixed it. Thanks in advance!

There are usually a couple of shut off valves underneath the rv that shut off coolant to the front. Are you sure those are not off for some reason

Hose or heater core might be bad and previous owner just closed the valve over replacing it.

You have a gas unit . . . I was thinking diesel . .. Sorry

So the valve is leaky and the hose is rotted in a few areas. I am fixing it this weekend. I hope it is just the hoses.
