Driver's cup holder

My 2014 Sunstar 30T only has a cup holder on the engine cover. Too long a reach and I can't keep my eyes on the road. I've read a lot of threads about this.

I'm wondering if there is any Winnebago/ Itasca coach that comes with a nice driver's side cupholder ? Then perhaps I could order the part and install it.

Not sure it is so nice but mine has a plastic fold out one mounted on the left side of the steering wheel.

Go to a boat supply store. They have them that mount to dash, side rail etc. and swing with the motion of vehicle. No slopping.

Got my replacement at West Marine boat store. It is the type that folds down and the wings expand for different size cups.

If you have enough money you can find one that sits on your lap.

Just don't let the gendarme see you with the accessory in place.

I bought a unit at our local DIY store that I attache to the window trip and it swivels and tilts and such to keep the coffee from spilling. Paid about 10 bucks for it.

We bought a plastic console with storage and cup holders at Walmart. It fits perfectly on the left side of the drivers seat and holds my beverage as we travel. : )

Here are a lot of them from Amazon, all different prices. I put this style on the bulkhead drivers side and passenger side. They are durable, and fold out of the way. Put them within reach and the handiest position.

Amazon.com - World Pride Drink Beverage Car Cup Holder Coffee Bracket Support -

American Technology CH-00100-BLK-1 THE MUGGER Black HD Folding Cup Holder : Amazon.com : Automotive

Amazon.com: Amarine-made Stainless Steel Adjustable Folding Drink Holders Marine/boat/caravan/car: Automotive

Amazon.com: Shoreline Marine Drink Holder Fold-Up (White): Sports & Outdoors

They look like they belong.

I had an 01 Adveturer 35U which had the same problem; a long reach down to the cup in the holder. I had some 3/4" oak laying around and made an extension for the bottom of the cup holder platform and remounted it to the engine cover. I can't recall how many inches I brought it up, but it was 3-4 I'm sure. The other plus from doing that was the storage underneath it(if you have the slide out top) was greatly enhanced. I stained it to match and it looked fine.

We installed two of these in the living room a couple years ago and they have worked out fine.

I have two of these (one for me and one for the DW) and they work great. I bought mine from Amazon. I used two sided tape to stick it.

I have 2 of these marine style ... not beautiful but they accommodate nearly any bottle/can/mug and they are gimbled. I remove my bottled water with the koozie attached and then just stick it back in the holder.

So I bought a cup holder from West Marine. I am reluctant to start putting screws into the wall. Someone mentioned double sided tape. Is that permanent? Or can I remove it later? Would heavy duty command strips work?

I have tried a couple of types of double sided tape to hold my remote fridge temperature sensors to the door fronts and the stuff doesn't hold well with vertical vibration. That said the strips holding my wife's dodad collection on the dash have held for a long time but they are mounted flat. A product called "GooGone" will clean up any residual left behind when removed.
