Don't know if it matters or not, but does the stringing diagram on Clay's post (which is the one we use) and the one on the Winnebago/FMCA post show different stringing paths?

I don't see any difference. What I did notice on the Winnebago diagram is only one spring is shown at the top. On my shade there were two springs on top laying side by side in the channel. The two cords on the left and the two on the right were actually one length of cord, doubled in half, with the looped end passing through the same two ends of the set of springs. The loop was secured by passing the cut ends through the loop and pulling it taut.

We have had the day/night shades for over 6 years, just as we traded our class c, one shade went bye, bye. The dealer told me later they had #$%^@#$% time trying to match the color tone to replace it.

My DW says if and when any day/night shade goes, she would like it replaced with a draw blind. She has hated them for over 6 years, and likes the traditional blind.

As long as she is I am

Upon closer examination, Cheryl is correct the two diagrams are the same stringing path.

Said it before, but the best sting to use for a day/night shade is dacron trolling line 50# test.
