Conflicting Callout on sealants

I found I need to do some resealing on the roof to gutter seams. Checked my callout sheet from Winnebago. According to the sheet and diagram it calls for sealant C #072889-10-000 or if painted surface, sealant E #094401-04-000. So I took a trip to the dealer and found out the sealant C is an elastomeric sealer but comes in white and the sealant E to be used on painted surfaces is SILICONE but is clear. I got the tube of elastomeric as most of my roof is white but I would much rather have just ONE color up there. I guess I should have bought a tube of Pro-flex in clear......
I just can't imagine the factory calling for silicone...
I really don't want to put silicone up there....

RV manufacturers use clear silicone when painted surfaces are involved as it's the least conspicuous.

Geocell is approved by Winnebago. Comes in clear and white.

No silicone.

I bought a tube of sealant 'E', p/n 094401-04-000, at the factory parts counter in Feb.

It is Stone Mason Gutter & Siding Sealant, Clear

upc 0 59291 07321 7

A high performance, quick drying flexible thermoplastic sealant and caulk.

Henry Company Canada Inc
www.usehickson.com

I was told they will not ship, flammable.

But check with Lichtsenn motors, I remember buying the white from them several years ago when I redid the roof on my adventurer.

When did you get the clear? The dealer here checked that part # and came back with the clear silicone...

Oops never mind, re-read your post....strange that my dealer would not have this...

Gary,
You can buy Henry 212 from many Home Depot stores. It is the same as the Stone Mason product, i.e., thermoplastic (not silicone). For some reason I could not find it in Florida.

I actually just put some geocell on today. I can't imagine it's going to need to be resealed anytime soon. It's some pretty good stuff.

They usually use Dicor self leveling.

Thanks, I will look later today...already tried the local RV places for ProFlex, all of them did not have any...have to order it. One dealer did have the Manus sealant but only in white

Could only find the color grey at Home Depot
Campers World has the pro-flex so I guess I will go with that.
