Cold Air From Heat Pump...Need Advice

Basement Air set-up in my 2001 Winnebago Adventurer

I turned on my heat pump yesterday and it blew only cold air. Normally heats up and blows warm air.
So....where do I look for the problem?
I suspect that I may have a duct loose or something similar.???

Compressors are running, fan is on, amps are up, set temp is 3 degrees higher than room temp.....just blows cold air.
Is there a relay or something that I need to check out????

Thanks for the time to reply, your help is appreciated.
I know someone out there has addressed this problem before.....

Thanks.
Paul

If you get to the condenser coil and feel if it is hot or cold. In the cool mode it will be hot and in heat mode it will be cold. Check if you have power going to the reversing valve.

Good places to look have already been mentioned. Keep in mind the minimum temperature the system will work varies from coach to coach. The system in our 2001 Adventurer would heat down to 37* before switching to gas. The overhead system in our 2013 Adventurer will only go down to 40* before switching to gas heat.

Thanks.

Determine if it will cool normally, if it will, that proves the system is functioning. Then, after leaving it off for 5 minutes, switch to heat pump and monitor for warm air again, should see results in 10-15 minutes. No warm air proves the reversing valve is stuck or broken; IF outside temperature is 50* as stated.
Sometimes the reversing valve gets stuck, and that cycling will cause it to free-up. Then it's time to locate a repair shop on your time and terms, before it becomes permanent.

Thanks for the information.
I switched to A/C and ran for about 20 min then let it sit for about 10 min. I turned on the heat pump and it began to blow warm air (after a warm-up period). Have used it several times since then and all works well.

Thanks for the input.
I'll continue to monitor the situation.

Regards,
Paul
