Hi All
I'm pretty sure I have read this somewhere in this Forum but could not find in a search!
Anyone have success removing water stains from the ceiling fabric after a water leak has been repaired? I had a small leak that has now turned a distictive brown and before tackling it thought I would consult the voices of experience!
Any and all advice would be much appreciated!

Both OxiClean Carpet Spot & Stain Remover and ResolveŽ Spot & Stain Carpet Cleaner Spray, have worked for me.

Ditto Rick Long's suggestion on using Oxyclean spray. Along with an applicator brush and vacuum cleaner, my shower stall stain has disappeared.

Had major leak damage in my 99 LaPalma from air conditioning unit. Did the same as all the above suggested - the one thing I used more successfully than others was Resolve. I found that if I put too much water in the ceiling fabric it only made things worse.

Just for what it's worth.

I had bad leaks in my Teton around the slides . . . 1/2 water and 1/2 clorox with a clean white towel and then a water rinse took care of them completely.

How about rust stains? We have areas where condensation has caused rusting. We were told by a dealer to use a steam cleaner but kind of hard on the ceiling.

I used the bleach and water mixture that Gracies Mom suggested --- I mixed it at 1/3rd bleach and 2/3rds water. Spray it on -- don't soak -- and let dry. I did not blot it with a towel or anything else -- let it air dry. I did mine in the Summer as there is a left over bleach smell which aired out over the next two days. My ceiling is the "fuzzy" flock looking ceiling and I had some water stains.

I found a good process for removing those ceiling water stains is this: mix peroxide with baking soda to form a paste. Smear the mixture onto the stain and let it dry over night. Vacuum it off the next day. By drying it adds no water to the ceiling and has time enough to work.

We have used a Bissel Little Green Machine for this purpose, also handy to have around for other stain removal

For the rust stains I can not use bleach as my ceiling is off white. I tried it a while ago in an out of the way spot and now it is white there.
